Christmas Eve @ Fairhope UMC

    December 21, 2020

At this time the Sanctuary services are full and a waitlist has been started. Call the church office if you would like to be placed on the list.  If you have a reservation and are unable to attend, we ask that you cancel your reservation.  Contact Bobbi Hobbs, via email  or phone, 251-928-1148
FOR THOSE THAT WILL BE STAYING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS EVE, THE 4:15 PM SANCTUARY SERVICE AND THE 5:30 PM CLC SERVICE WILL BE LIVESTREAMED!   Watch online here, through Facebook or Youtube!

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, THE CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICE PLANNED AT HALSTEAD AMPHITHEATER WILL BE HELD IN THE CHRISTIAN LIFE CENTER!

This change in plans means RESERVATIONS ARE NOW REQUIRED.  Unfortunately, THIS SERVICE IS NOW FULL.   If you wish to watch online, join us here, through Facebook or Youtube!

THIS PORTION OF THE SERVICE HAS NOT CHANGED:
    Beginning at 5:30pm
those who gather will still enjoy festive music and singing led by our music teams, followed by a battery operated candle "Light of the World Walk" through a portion of downtown Fairhope.

Wear your traveling shoes, as the plan will be to traverse along the sidewalks and then reconvene at the outdoor courtyard in front of the sanctuary for holy communion underneath the lights of the Fairhope UMC bell tower at 6:45 pm.

There will be two walking routes immediately following the service.  Michael Spicer will lead folks up Bancroft Street, down Fairhope Ave, then turn onto Section Street and walk to the front lawn of the church for Holy Communion.  Rev. Ontonio Christie will lead folks on a shorter route through the church parking lot to the front lawn of the church for Holy Communion.

Special thanks to the Fairhope Police Department for their assistance with this venture.

In a year that has been filled with unsettling images in our nation's streets, what will it mean to flood our community with the light of Jesus Christ?  This is our mission...LET US ALL BE WALKING LIGHT!

If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19, we ask that you DO NOT ATTEND IN PERSON. Face masks are expected for adults and children 2nd grade and older. Masks will be available if you do not have one.
