When We Are Fearful (The Gathering Worship)

Passage: Luke 24:36-49
The disciples are caught in an in-between moment—Jesus is alive, but the future is still uncertain. They are gathered in fear, unsure of what comes next, when suddenly, Jesus stands among them and speaks a powerful word: “Peace be with you.” He reassures them, reminds them of what He has already taught and how his very presence has fulfilled the law, the prophets and the teaching of the Psalms. Because he is the fulfillment of all things, something greater is coming.
This passage speaks to those who find themselves in seasons of waiting—between clarity and uncertainty, promise and fulfillment. Jesus doesn’t just give them answers; He gives them peace. How do we find peace in the waiting? How do we rest in those moments of presence? How might the in-between be essential for what lies ahead?
