Resurrection and New Life

Resurrection and New Life

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” John 11:25

In John 11:25 this scripture tells us that Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life.   He is the one who is greater than all.  Nothing could hold Jesus in the grave.  When He died on the cross for us, He held nothing back.  He poured out His life like a drink offering that never runs dry.

Jesus being raised from the dead by His Father gives new life and hope for all who believe as well as a proclamation of what God can do for us.  Jesus offers a bountiful life to everyone who turns to Him.  What Jesus has, He will give to us abundantly and allow our cup to be overflowing.  With Christ Jesus in our lives we can be fulfilled and complete to be used for the glory of God.  Jesus will meet us in the stillness of our soul as He is ready to commune with us at any given moment.  Let’s celebrate, rejoice and give praise and thanks for all that He has done for us.  EASTER brings new HOPE and PROMISE to our Lives.

                   Hymn Of Promise

In the bulb there is a flower; in the seed, an apple tree;
In cocoons, a hidden promise: butterflies will soon be free!
In the cold and snow of winter there’s a spring that waits to be,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

There’s a song in every silence, seeking word and melody;
There’s a dawn in every darkness, bringing hope to you and me.
From the past will come the future; what it holds, a mystery,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

In our end is our beginning; in our time, infinity;
In our doubt there is believing; in our life, eternity,
In our death, a resurrection; at the last, a victory,
Unrevealed until its season, something God alone can see.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, This is a day of rejoicing as your Son has conquered the grave. There is nothing that can hold us back when we remain in communion with You.  Your abundant life is given to each of us freely through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We praise You for the gift of new life. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Amen.

P.S.

Dear Devotional Readers,

I know there is a season and a time for all of us to reflect in our faith journey and I believe it is time for me to step aside after a year of writing devotionals. Writing these devotionals has given me the opportunity to draw closer to my Heavenly Father and be so blessed in the process.  It has challenged me to study the scriptures in depth and brings me to a new desire of wanting to learn more from the scriptures. I intend to further my spiritual growth in new ways and provide biblical studies so that you can join me and we can learn together.  My hope and prayer for you is that these devotionals have been a source of encouragement for your faith and has deepened your walk with God.  Know I will continue praying for you always.

My love and prayers,

Ann
