A ministry of care to enhance communication and support with members of our church family

Dear Church Family:

As we grow in numbers Caring Ministries is constantly trying to find ways to remain connected with our church family and to establish a connection with our new members. Shepherding the Flock ministry is one way we in Caring Ministries are making this effort.

Caring Ministries is here to serve you. Let us be united in our task to reach out and love as Jesus has loved us. He is the good Shepherd and the Shepherd knows His flock. May we choose to follow His example.

Shepherding the Flock Ministry:

The purpose of this ministry is to offer love and support to our members, to provide information about our church ministries, to offer a word of encouragement and simply to stay connected with our members so we can care and nurture them. Our goal is to communicate with each member at least once a month.

Shepherding the Flock Ministry is made up of three components: email, telephone and notes & cards. This offers our members a choice as to their preference of communication.

Here are a few of the scriptures that inspired Caring Ministries and were at the heart of the Shepherding the Flock Ministry:

As a shepherd looks after his scattered flock when he is with them, so will I look after my sheep. I will rescue them from all the places where where they were scattered on a day of clouds and darkness. Ezekiel 34:12

He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young. Isaiah 40:11

Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people, the sheep of His pasture. Psalm 100:3
